In 2017, a new iconic building, Marina One – Marina One Residences will be seen in the Marina South area.  Marina South, as zoned by Singapore’s Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA),  will be the new Central Business District for international business and financial activities.  Marina One – Marina One Residences the centrepiece in this area is one of the two developments developed by M+S Pte Ltd, a joint venture (60:40) of Khazanah Nasional and Temasek Holdings.  The other development being DUO Residences.

On a 2.62 hectares (282,022 sf) land of 4 parcels, with a projected development value of $7 billion, Marina One will comprise luxury residences, retail and offices with a total gross floor area of 341,000 sqm.  It will be a new additional landmark to other well known development such as Gardens By The Bay, Marina Bay Sands, Esplanade Theatres and Singapore Flyer in the high growth Marina South area.

Marina One,  being a mixed used development with 60% of office spaces comprises of two 30-storey office blocks, and 35% will make up of two 34-storey residential blocks with 1,042 luxury residential units called Marina One Residences. The remaining 5% will be retail space which will be linked with the office and residential units.  Included in the design is a retail podium,  and a beautiful green garden called the “Heart” located right at the centre of the 4 blocks which will provide a sanctuary and green civic space for communities to come together.  In addition, it is also flanked by 2 parks – Marina Station Square and Central Linear Park.  Marina One also includes four basement levels, an underground pedestrian network and an ancillary road network.

Already having won 3 awards at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2012 for Best High Rise Architecture, Best Mixed-Used Development and Best Mixed-Use Architecture, Marina One is set to be an iconic landmark in Singapore.  The project is on track and within schedule for 2017 completion.

Marina One Residences Connectivity

Marina One – Marina Residences is well connected island-wide by a comprehensive transport network via various MRT lines and expressways.  New underground MRT stations; Marina Bay Interchange Station and Downtown Station will have 4 MRT lines passing through these stations.  These are the North-South Line, Circle Line, Downtown Line and Thomson Line which is expected to be completed in 2021.  Commuters will be sheltered by a future underground link connecting Marina One and the stations.
